Workplace first aid requirements
In Spain, workplace first aid is governed by Law 31/1995 of 8 November on the Prevention of Occupational Risks (Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales), transposing EU Framework Directive 89/391/EEC, administered by National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST) and the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate. Employers must ensure a trained first aider is available at all times.
