Spain sets no fixed first-aider ratio: under Article 20 of Law 31/1995 (Ley de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales) the employer designates enough trained first-aiders from a risk assessment, with first-aid material required by Royal Decree 486/1997, Annex VI.

In Spain first aid is a compulsory 'Primeros auxilios' module of the Técnico Superior en Educación Infantil qualification (Royal Decree 1394/2007) that childcare educators must hold, with detailed 0-3 centre rules set by each autonomous community.
